Amazon, staying true to its customer-centric ethos, is making strides in reducing the “fright” (you were warned) in ad creation, making it less daunting for the average advertiser. With the fusion of generative AI, the art of advertising is not just preserved but elevated, promising a pathway where ads are not merely seen but felt.

But once all the ads are beautiful, then none of the ads are beautiful.

🎃 Trick or Treat: Google's Generative AI Makes Ad Experience Less Tricky, More Treating!

Google isn't one to lag behind. Enter the Search Generative Experience. This spookily (groan) smart tool is all about harnessing the power of generative AI to morph the way ads interact with users. The idea is to let the ads morph based on your search whims, making the whole experience less of a chore and more of an adventure.

My Take

Google is brewing its own witches brew (I’ll own it - it’s mine, not ChatGPT’s). The Search Generative Experience (SGE) seems to be Google's wand to cast a spell on the ad realm.

While OpenAI has been throwing its own sorcery into the ring, Google isn't about to sit on its broomstick idle. Much like Amazon, Google is gearing up to serve a cauldron of AI-brewed ads.

The elephant in the room? How this AI dalliance will tango with SEO's old-school moves. Bard kinda sucks right now, but with Google's alchemy, it could morph into a formidable sorcerer in the AI saga.

TED AI 2023 was a stark reminder, while AI's dance with the arts is enchanting, it’s a fleeting ghost amid monstrous challenges like climate change and global equity.

The focus in the design world has shifted from blockchain and NFTs to generative AI faster than a kid spotting a full-size candy bar in the trick-or-treat basket.

While this AI-driven design era unfurls new realms of possibilities, it also nudges us to question the essence of originality.

My Take

The tech world’s runway is showcasing a rapid relay of trends, with generative AI now taking the baton from blockchain and NFTs. It’s both exhilarating and exhausting, kind of like a sugar rush post a Halloween candy binge.

The tech hype-cycles are spinning faster, and the spotlight is shifting quicker than ever. While I thought the metaverse was stupid (and still do), the AI wave did catch my eye.

The spring brought a bloom of AI interest, now it feels like autumn is ushering in a phase of contemplation, or dare I say, disillusionment?

This is an interesting approach, and I wonder if it’ll work. People would probably have their own incentives to learn another language, but why would the average person want to learn about generative AI unless they’re employer forced them?
